Moving On From San Jose
San Jose is the transport hub of Costa Rica, and home to most bus companies, all express bus services, flights and car-rental agencies. Wherever you are in the country, technically you are never more than nine hours by road from the capital, with the majority of destinations being much closer than that. Eventually, like it or not, all roads lead to San Jose. Regional bus information is covered in the relevant accounts in the guide. As schedules are prone to change, exact departure times are not given here, though details are given where helpful in the accounts of the individual destinations; a full timetable is available free from the ICT office
