This long-established soda-cum-restaurant serves succulent local fish and chicken dishes, as well as inexpensive lunchtime specials and snacks. El Rinconcito Alegre , Manzanillo. Small, cheerful cafe with casados , fresh fruit juices and seafood. Maxis , Manzanillo. Large upstairs restaurant with great views over the beach and renowned seafood, including lobster. Gets packed at weekends. Selvyn's Restaurant , about 8km south of Puerto Viejo. Long-established restaurant dishing up beautifully cooked local fish (served with coconut-flavoured rice-and-beans at weekends).
