Arrival and Information
A direct bus (5hr) leaves San Jose for Coco daily at 10am, returning at 9.15am. You can also get to Coco on local services from Liberia (1hr), returning to Liberia at 7am, 9.15am (high season only), 2pm and 6pm. The town itself spreads out right in front of the beach, with a tiny Parquecito as the focal point. Minimal services include a miniscule correo (Mon-Fri 7.30am-5pm) and public telephones on either side of the Parquecito. The Banco Nacional will change dollars and travellers' cheques; otherwise you can change money at Flor de Itabo . Taxis gather in front of the Restaurante Cocos by the beach.
