Middle Harbour is the largest inlet of Port Jackson, its two sides joined across the narrowest point at The Spit . The Spit Bridge opens regularly to let tall-masted yachts through - much the best way to explore its pretty, quiet coves and bays; several cruises pass by . Crossing the Spit Bridge, you can walk all the way to Manly Beach along the ten-kilometre Manly Scenic Walkway , while bus #144 runs from Spit Road to Manly Wharf, taking in a scenic route uphill overlooking the Spit marina.
