The Backlot
The theme park area of Fox Studios, The Backlot , is sandwiched between the professional studio and the public areas: if there is something in production, Backlot visitors may be able to take a peek at film or television sets in action. There are eight areas to visit and four to five hours is recommended to experience them properly: the Hall of Cool Stuff shows Fox Studio movie memorablia, including a reproduced set from The Titanic ; the Star Dressing Room has Fox props and costumes and an in-house make-up artist; Titanic - The Experience is a twenty-minute "heightened reality" experience where the audience re-enact scenes from the film; The TV Tour shows how television shows are made; Lights! Camera! Chaos is a 25-minute live show recreating a movie shoot; Sound Stage demonstrates audio effects; The Babe Set is focused around Babe 2: Pig in the City , filmed here; and The Simpsons Down Under demonstrates animation.
