It's only a ten-minute walk to Darling Harbour from the Queen Victoria Building down Market Street, along the overhead walkway and across Pyrmont Bridge. Further south there's a pedestrian bridge from Bathurst Street or you can cut through on Liverpool Street to Tumbalong Park. West of the city centre the 1980s redevelopment of the old wharf area around Cockle Bay saw the birth of the Darling Harbour entertainment and retail precinct, with several of the city's major tourist attractions located here and in adjacent areas, including the Aquarium, the National Maritime Museum, the Fish Markets in adjacent Pyrmont, and the Powerhouse Museum in Ultimo. The neighbouring area of Haymarket, heading towards Central Station, contains Sydney's Chinatown, as well as its oldest market.
