Practicalities
Access by air is provided through First Air (tel 1-800/267-1247) from Yellowknife and other "local" communities. Information is available in summer from the Heritage Visitors Centre (July-Aug daily 8.30am-5pm, on request at other times; tel 867/982-3232). As far as accommodation is concerned there are two options. The central Coppermine Inn (tel 867/982-3333, fax 982-3340; $125-175 per person) has motel rooms or self-contained units; breakfast, lunch and dinner if you want them should be reserved in advance (you can take meals individually). You could also try the smaller Enokhok Inn (tel 867/982-3197, fax 982-4291; $175-240 per person inclusive of meals). Camping is possible at Kukluktuk Park. As for eating , nonresidents can use the Coppermine Inn , but you need to book meals a day in advance.
