Reserving Provincial Campsites
Tent and RV pitches at certain campsites in British Columbia's provincial parks can be reserved in advance. To make reservations , call Discover Camping (tel 1-800/689-9025 or 604/689-9025 in greater Vancouver; March to mid-Sept Mon-Fri 7am-7pm, Sat & Sun 9am-5pm) or log-on to their Web site www.discovercamping.ca , where reservations can be made and confirmed online. Reservations can be made from up to three months in advance and no later than 48 hours before the first day of arrival. A nonrefundable booking fee of $6.42 per night, to a maximum of $19.26 for three or more nights, is charged (rates include tax). Payment in advance is by Visa or MasterCard only (payment for extra nights once at a campsite is by cash only). You can stay in BC provincial parks up to a maximum of fourteen days in any single park. Information on all aspects of BC's provincial parks is available on the Net at www.elp.gov.bc.ca/bcparks .
