Workaday HUNTSVILLE , 35km beyond Bracebridge on Hwy 11, is as near as the buses and trains get to Algonquin Park. Buses pull into the centre at Main and Centre Street, trains pause at the station about 600m away. Hammond Transportation runs a reliable if fairly infrequent minibus service on into Algonquin Provincial Park , but if you find yourself stuck here in town, head for the inexpensive chain motels lined up along King William Street. Reliable options here include the Comfort Inn , at no. 86 (tel 705/789-1701 or 1-800/228-5150; $60-80), and the King William Inn at no. 23 (tel 705/789-9661; $60-80).
