Lakeside Kootenai Brown Dining Room , Waterton Ave at the Bayshore Inn (tel 859-2211). One of the better and more elegant spots in town to treat yourself; the dining room overlooks the lake. Open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Moderate. Lamp Post Dining Room , 117 Evergreen Ave at the Kilmorey Lodge (tel 859-2334). Old-world appeal and tempting good food without the stuffiness of Windsor Lounge ; the moderate prices are lower too (7.30am-10pm). The hotel's Gazebo cafe on the waterfront is also good for snacks (10am-10pm). New Frank's Restaurant , 106 Waterton Ave (tel 859-2240). This restaurant serves cheap, odd combinations of breakfasts, burgers, a Chinese buffet plus lunch and six-course buffet specials. Pearl's , 305 Windflower Ave (tel 859-2284). Fresh baking; great first choice for cheap breakfast, lunch, coffee, deli meats, picnic provisions and hikers' takeaway lunches. Indoor and outdoor tables. Pizza of Waterton , 103 Fountain Ave (tel 859-2660). Dough made daily on the premises; good, cheap pizzas to eat in or take away. Open daily 4.30-10pm. Windsor Lounge , Prince of Wales Hotel (tel 859-2231). One of several lounges, bars and dining rooms in this posh hotel open for nonpatrons to enjoy afternoon tea, a good breakfast or a refined hour with a drink and great lake views. Dress well, as the place is fairly smart. The Garden Court is the most elegant restaurant in the hotel (reservations required).
