Communications
Post and phones in Sweden are good, and as most people speak at least some English you won't go far wrong in the post or telephone office. Post offices open Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, Sat 10am-1pm. You can buy stamps at post offices, and at most newspaper kiosks, tobacconists and hotels. For international telephone calls you can dial direct from public phones. These take 1kr and 5kr coins (minimum charge 2kr), but card phones ( Telefonkort ) are more common; cards are available from newsagents and kiosks. It is also possible to use credit cards in many payphones, marked with the "CCC" sign. All operators speak English (domestic directory enquiries tel 118118, international tel 118119.
