Opening Hours and Holidays
Shops are open Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, Sat 9am-1/4pm. Some larger department stores stay open until 8/10pm, and open Sun noon-4pm. Banks, offices and shops close on the following days and may close early on the preceding day: Jan 1; Jan 6; Good Friday; Easter Sunday & Monday; May 1; Ascension (mid-May); Whit Sunday & Monday; Midsummer's Eve & Day; All Saint's Day (the Sat between Oct 31 & Nov 6); Dec 24, 25, 26 & 31.
