Newspapers from all over western Europe reach Tenerife within a day of publication. A big ex-pat presence on the island means that local news - particularly that of interest to resident foreign communities - and tourist-oriented listings fill the column inches of several German- and English-language newspapers. Ones to look out for (all free from tourist information and some bars) are Island Connections ( www.ic-web.com ) Tenerife News ( www.tennew.com ), The Western Sun, The Weekly Canarian and Here and Now . For local news and listings in Spanish, try the Tenerife-based Diario de Avisos or the online newspaper provided by Canarias7 ( www.canarias7.es ).
