Every major town and resort on both Tenerife and La Gomera has at least one cafe with Internet connections where half an hour on-line usually costs around ?4. Those wanting to plug their own equipment into the local telephone system should be aware that phone jacks are American style. If using a hotel network, it is always worth enquiring into the compatibility of their system, since in rare cases these can damage your modem. If you are looking for a local server, then one of the best places for advice is a local Internet cafe.
