The turismo in Plaza Mayor can supply details of guided English-language walking tours around the city. A tour of Madrid de los Austrias departs at 10am on Saturdays from the Plaza Mayor tourist office and costs ?3 (for more information www.descubremadrid.munimadrid.es ; reservations tel 902 488 488 or 915 882 906). For a bus tour of all the major city sites try Madrid Vision, c/San Bernardo 23 (tel 917 671 743, www.trapsa.com/madridvision ; Metro: Noviciado); a 75-minute tour costs between ?10.25 and ?10.80, allowing you to jump off at various sites throughout the city. Pick-up points include Puerta del Sol and the Prado.
