Modernisme Tours
The most economical way to enjoy Barcelona's modernista heritage is to purchase a ticket for the "Ruta del Modernisme," an itinerary organized by the city and which passes most of the main and several of the obscure Art Nouveau sites. The ticket is available for ?3.60 (?2.50 for students) at the Modernisme Centre in the Casa Amatller (Pg de Gracia 41; tel 934 880 139, ; Mon-Sat 10am-7pm, Sun 10am-2pm). This ticket provides discounts on the admission price of the Palau Guell, Palau de la Musica, La Pedrera, La Sagrada Familia, Fundacio Tapies, Museu Gaudi, Museu d'Art Modern, Museu de la Musica and the Museu de Zoologia. The ticket is valid for thirty days and the net savings are ?19.30. Also in the works is a parallel route which will change annually, focusing each year on a different modernist architect. Gaudi was highlighted in 2002, and 2003 focuses on Puig i Cadafalch. Also available are pricey Gaudi-specific coach trips, departing from La Pedrera. There is a choice of two tours, each lasting four hours: either within Barcelona (daily 9am & 3pm; ?30.10) or to the Colonia Guell (daily 9am; ?30.10)
