If you have your own transport, you can include three other northwestern destinations with interesting churches - but otherwise run-of-the-mill surroundings - in a trip to Montserrat. They're all accessible by public transport, too, in which case you're probably best off seeing Manresa with Montserrat, and Sant Cugat and Terrassa together on a separate trip.
