To the west of the city, in the pleasant vega village of Fuente Vaqueros, the birthplace of Federico Garcia Lorca, Andalucia's greatest poet and dramatist, has been transformed into a museum (guided visits on the hour Tues-Sun 10am-1pm & 5-7pm; ?1.80), and contains a highly evocative collection of Lorca memorabilia. Buses operated by Urena (hourly from 8am; 20min) leave from Granada's Avenida de Andaluces, fronting the train station.
