North of Malaga are two impressive sights: the magnificent limestone gorge near El Chorro and the prehistoric dolmen caves at Antequera . They lie close to the junction of roads inland to Sevilla, Cordoba and Granada and on direct train lines, and both are possible as day-trips from Malaga. Approaching Antequera along the old road from Malaga (MA423) via Almogia and Villenueva de la Concepcion, you also pass the entrance to the popular national park, El Torcal .
