As befits its sophisticated, cosmopolitan image, Ljubljana is able to boast a tight concentration of restaurants , most of which offer excellent value for money. There is a handful of good fish restaurants and many offering traditional Slovene variations, and because of Ljubljana's proximity to Italy, Austria, Hungary and the Adriatic coast, the range is impressive.
