For most visitors anything outside the city centre and Trakt Krolewski remains an unknown quantity. While not visually attractive, some of the Warsaw suburbs - notably Zoliborz and Praga - are worth visiting both for their atmosphere and for their historic resonance, while at its furthest limits the city merges into the villages of the Mazovian countryside, with head-scarved peasants and horse-drawn carriages replacing the bustle of city life.
