Immediately east of ul. Florianska is ul. Szpitalna , another mansion-lined thoroughfare. At no. 24, the city's Orthodox church is housed upstairs in a building that used to serve as a synagogue. As usual, the icon-filled church is only open during services (currently Saturday at 5pm, and Sunday at 10am), but there's an interesting display of Orthodox-inspired religious art in the entry lobby and ground-floor art gallery, featuring works by the contemporary Polish artist Jerzy Nowoselski.
