Until fairly recently, Belfast used to operate as a city under curfew, and unless you were a native, it was difficult to track down just where the best pubsclubs and music were to be found. Now new bars have appeared and the club scene is booming. Overall, the city centre is far more open and vibrant at night, although Sundays can be quiet with many bars closing early or remaining shut all day. To tap into the pulse of the city, your best bet is to wander down the Golden Mile , where you'll find an abundance of pubs and clubs to choose from.
