Arrival and Information
Getting to Dingle is easy by bus from either Tralee or Killarney. Travel west of Dingle town is less straightforward - buses leave Dingle for Dunquin Monday and Thursday three times daily, and during the summer months they depart Monday to Saturday twice daily and go via Slea Head. The Mountain Man, Strand St (tel 066/915 2400), runs a minibus from Dingle to the ferry at Dunquin where you can go on to Blasket Island. Bikes can be rented from Foxy John's in Main St (GBP6/?7.62 per day). The tourist office in Strand St (March-May & mid-Sept to Nov Mon-Sat 9.15am-1pm & 2.15-5.30pm; June & early Sept Mon-Sat 9am-6pm, Sun 10am-1pm & 2.15-6pm; July & Aug Mon-Sat 9am-7pm, Sun 10am-1pm & 2.15-6pm; tel 066/915 1188) has an accommodation service and plenty of information on the surrounding area; perhaps the only drawback is the very long queues that you can expect during high season. Dingle's Internet cafe is The Dingle Web on Lower Main St ( info@dingleweb.com ), where Internet access costs GBP5/?6.35 per hour.
