There's a tourist office in the town centre at 25 Ashe St (March-June & Sept to mid-Nov Mon-Sat 9.15am-1pm & 2.15-5.30pm; July & Aug daily 7am-7pm; tel 023/33226). Camping is available a mere 500 yards' stagger from the pubs at Desert House , near the shore (May-Sept; tel 023/33331); head east out of the village and turn right at the roundabout. For bike rental try MTM Cycles, 33 Ashe St (tel 023/33584). Recent years have seen an increase in the range of accommodation on offer in Clonakilty, particularly at the top end of the price range. Excellent hostel accommodation is available at the Clonakilty Old Brewery Hostel , Old Brewery Lane (IHH; tel 023/33525) in a quiet yet central location off Emmet Square; private rooms are available, along with facilities for wheelchair users.
