The north bank of the Danube gradually becomes more steep as you head towards two settlements, Nagymaros and Zebegeny , both of which merit attention for their atmosphere and as starting points for reaching the Borzsony hills. The main claim to fame of Szob , the last town on the Hungarian north bank of the river, is as a junction for buses from the Borzsony hills and as the border crossing for trains to Slovakia, the Czech Republic and eastern Germany.
