Along Ulloi ut lies the Nepliget or People's Park, which lacks the allure of the Varosliget but does have a Planetarium , 100m from Nepliget metro, hosting astronomical programmes by day, and nightly laser shows with music by Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield, Madonna, Bizet and Carl Orff (mid-Jan to May & early July to mid-Dec Mon-Sat at 7.30pm; 1490Ft). For football fans, a bigger draw will be the FTC Stadium on the other side of Ulloi ut, where Fradi does its stuff. The only other attraction is way out in the X district, 15km from central Pest. The New Public Cemetery ( Uj koztemeto ; daily dawn to dusk; free) is the final resting place of Imre Nagy and 260 others executed for their part in the Uprising, who were buried in unmarked graves in 1958. Any flowers left at Plot 301 were removed by the police until 1989, when the deceased received a state funeral on Hosok tere. The plot is 2km from the main gates, with minibuses running there every twenty minutes. Near the graves, an ornate wooden gateway and headposts mark a mass grave now designated as a National Pantheon - as opposed to the Communist pantheon in Kerepesi. In the adjacent Jewish cemetery , where famous rabbis and Erno Szep, author of The Smell of Humans , are buried, look for the lovely blue Art Nouveau tomb of Sandor Schmidl, designed by Lechner and Lajta. Getting to the cemeteries entails a 35-minute ride by tram #37 or #28 from Nepszinhaz utca (near Blaha Lujza ter metro), out past the breweries of Kobanya, to the main gates on Kozma utca. Tram #37 runs on past the entrance to the Jewish cemetery, 700m up the road.
