There is a wide choice for meals, with most restaurants and tavernas concentrated on the main street of Paleologou - including several good psistaries towards the south end of Paleologou. One of the most popular music bars at present is Ministry opposite the Menelaion hotel. Averof , Paleologou 77. A long-established and reasonably priced taverna with tasty Greek home cooking; outdoor tables in summer. Diethnes , Paleologou 105. Highly rated by the locals with a wide range of traditional dishes. The interior lacks atmosphere, but a delightful garden behind with orange and lemon trees compensates. Dionysos . 2km out on the road towards Mystra. Expensive dishes, but served with style outdoors on a summer's evening. Finikas , Thermopylon 51. Fine taverna cum psistaria . Semiramis , Paleologou 58. Taverna, tucked away in the basement, with a traditional Greek menu; the house speciality is roast pork with aubergine.
