Most of Sifnos's coastal settlements are along the less precipitous eastern shore, within a modest distance of Hora and its surrounding cultivated plateau. These all have good bus services, and a certain amount of food and accommodation, Kastro being far more appealing than the resorts of Platys Yialos and Faros which can get very overcrowded in July and August
