Rue de Bourgogne is the main street for restaurants and nightlife . You can choose from among French, Spanish, North African, Middle Eastern, Indian and Asian cuisines, all of which can be sampled at very reasonable prices. For buying your own provisions there are the covered market halls on place du Chatelet, near the river.
