Arrival and Information
The gare routiere is west of the city beyond boulevard Juranville on rue du Prado, while the gare SNCF lies 1km to the north of the centre, on avenue P.-Semard. The tourist office , which faces the south facade of the cathedral, is at 21 rue Victor-Hugo (July-Sept Mon-Sat 9am-7.30pm, Sun 10am-7.30pm; rest of year Mon-Sat 9am-6pm, Sun 10am-12.30pm; tel 02.48.23.02.60, fax 02.48.23.02.69, www.ville-bourges.fr ), and there is also a regional tourist office at 5 rue de Seraucourt (tel 02.48.48.00.10, fax 02.48.48.00.20, www.berrylecher.com ). Rue Moyenne is the main street leading north from rue Victor-Hugo, with rue Porte-Jaune parallel to it from the cathedral parvis. If you feel like pedalling through the surrounding flat countryside, you can rent bikes from Loca Bourges, 118 rue Barbes (tel 02.48.21.08.33), or from the Auberge de Jeunesse .
