Communications
Most post offices ( postkontor ) are open Monday to Friday 9am-7pm and Saturday 9am-3pm. You can buy stamps here and at some shops, hotels, and kiosks. You can use public telephones , most of which now operate on magnetic cards (available in denominations of 30, 50 and 100EEK), for both local and long-distance calls. You can also phone long-distance from a post office or telephone centre where you'll be assigned a phone and asked to pay up front for the number of minutes you expect to talk - don't underestimate because they cut you off automatically. You'll find Internet cafes in Tallinn and Tartu, but they're still rare elsewhere. Expect to pay around 40-60EEK per hour.
