Arrival and Information
Sheffield's train station is just east of the city centre off Sheaf Square. The bus station , known as the Sheffield Interchange, is on Pond Street about two hundred yards to the north. The Destination Sheffield tourist office on Tudor Square (Mon-Fri 9.30am-5.15pm, Sat 9.30am-4.15pm; tel 0114/221 1900, ) is just five minutes' walk from the stations. Most local buses depart from the High Street, while the Supertram system (tel 0114/272 8282) connects the city centre with the massive shopping mall at Meadowhall. For fare and timetable information , visit the Travel Information Centre at the Interchange (Mon-Fri 8am-5.30pm, Sat 8.30am-5pm, Sun 9am-5pm). A one-day TravelMaster Pass (GBP4.95) gives unlimited travel on buses, trains and trams throughout South Yorkshire.
