The principal attraction of mid-Sussex is its wealth of fine gardens, ranging from the majestic Sheffield Park to the luscious flowerbeds of Nymans and the landscaped lakes of Leonardslee . Exploring this region by public transport isn't really feasible unless you take your bike on the train; tourist information is thin on the ground too, so get clued up at Brighton's tourist office before you go.
