Arrival and Information
Blackpool's main train station is Blackpool North (direct trains from Manchester, Preston and London), half a dozen blocks up Talbot Road from North Pier. A few steps down Talbot Road, towards the sea, stands the combined National Express and local bus station . The main tourist office at 1 Clifton St (Easter to early Nov Mon-Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 10am-3.45pm; rest of year Mon-Thurs & Sat 8.45am-4.45pm, Fri 8.45am-4.15pm; tel 01253/478222, ) is on the corner of Talbot Road, five minutes' walk from the stations; a seasonal office sits on the prom opposite Blackpool Tower. The main office sells Travel Cards (one-day GBP4.50; three-day GBP12; five-day GBP15; seven-day GBP16) for use on all local buses and trams.
