From the Assembly Rooms, Alfred Street leads to the area known as the Paragon , at the top of Milsom Street. Here, an old Methodist chapel houses the Building of Bath Museum (mid-Feb to Nov Tues-Sun 10.30am-5pm; GBP4), an educational explanation of the construction and architecture of Bath. At the bottom of the Paragon, off George Street, lies Milsom Street , a wide shopping strand designed by the elder Wood as the main thoroughfare of Georgian Bath.
