Immediately north of Gothersgade the medieval streets of Indre By give way to the open parklands surrounding the royal palace of Rosenborg Slot . Opposite here is the glorious cornucopia of Copenhagen's Botanisk Have (Botanical Gardens), while scattered around the surrounding parklands are some good museums, including the Geological Museum , the Davids Samling , with its fine Islamic collection, and the impressive artworks of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts and the Hirschsprung Collection .
