Copenhagen Marathon
On the third Sunday of May many of the prettiest areas of Copenhagen are cordoned off to make way for the Copenhagen Marathon , during which around six thousand participants of all ages and abilities, from professional athletes to fun runners, take over the streets, cheered by more than twice that number of spectators. If you're fit enough and want to give it a try, contact Sparta ( www.sparta.dk ; entry fee 325kr).
