Tues-Sun noon-4pm; 30kr. Bus #8. South of Grønlands Handelsplads, in the beautifully restored Naval Hospital of 1780 on the corner of Badsmandsstraede and Overgaden Oven Vandet, is the mildly diverting Royal Danish Naval Museum (Orlogsmuseet). Devoted to the history of the Danish Navy, the museum boasts an unusually large collection of ship models (some dating back to the sixteenth century), ships' equipment, pompous-looking uniforms, weapons, nautical instruments, maritime art and minutely detailed models of the many sea battles the Danish Navy has fought (they even include the smoke clouds from the cannons). You can also go aboard the Spaekhuggeren ("Killer Whale") submarine - radio broadcasts help you to relive the moment it narrowly escaped the Germans during World War II. There's an eating area downstairs where you can consume your packed lunch in the company of a vast selection of cannons.
