Opening Hours and Holidays
Most shops open Monday to Friday 8am-8pm and Saturday 8am-1pm, although many food shops, supermarkets and outdoor markets are open daily 7am-7pm. Museum and gallery times vary from one place to another, although most are closed on Monday. All shops and banks will be closed on the following public holidays : January 1; January 6; Easter Monday; May 1 (Labour Day); May 30 (Day of Croatian Statehood); June 22 (Day of the 1941 Anti-Fascist Uprising); August 5 (National Thanksgiving Day); August 15 (Assumption); November 1 (All Saints' Day); and December 25 and 26.
