Arrival and Information
Stara Zagora's train station lies about five blocks south of the Pazarska, near the bottom of bul. Ruski; the bus station is further east on bul. Slavyanski - both are just ten minutes' walk from the centre. The helpful Stara Zagora Regional Economic Development Agency, on ul. General Stoletov 127 (tel 042/35007, tel & fax 38075, ), doubles as a tourist information centre , and can act as an intermediary for non-English speaking travel agents, such as Mahiko. It can also help you find accommodation in town, and organizes historical tours with an English-speaking guide, though a couple of days' advance notice is needed. Internet access is on hand at Millennium Computers, Tsar Simeon 130.
