Eating and Drinking
Central Kazanlak doesn't have a great deal going for it as far as dining is concerned, with the restaurant of the Hotel Kazanlak and the New York Pizza and Grill immediately opposite, being the best options. The Hotel Palas also has a decent courtyard restaurant. Out on the Shipka road are two good restaurants serving traditional Bulgarian food: Frank at bul. Osvobozhdenie 3, and Kashtata on the opposite side of the same street, which has a nice garden. The streets to the west of the main square are lined with cafes and bars , while the Arizona Cocktail Bar , in the courtyard of a large Gothic house just east of the main square, is a step up in quality, and price.
