In recent years Bulgaria's telephone system has improved and expanded rapidly, while the postal service, although slower to modernize, also functions reasonably efficiently. Email is gaining ground, particularly amongst those Bulgarians involved in tourism or other international concerns, and the number of internet cafes is on the increase
