Moving On From Varna
A number of international buses leave Varna: the ticket office at the bus station provides information and tickets on daily services to Istanbul, as well as seasonal departures (weekly in summer) to Odessa and Kiev. Istanbul-bound buses are also run by Nisikli, at Hristo Botev 3 (tel 052/601175). The Group agency, a few doors along at no. 4a, (tel 052/256734) sells tickets to Budapest and Prague, as well as Sofia. Domestic and international train bookings can be made from BDZh/Rila, ul. Vaptsarov 11 (Mon-Fri 8am-6.30pm, Sat 8am-3pm). For international airline tickets try Interservice Travel or CM92. At the time of writing there were no scheduled boat trips to Istanbul, although this may change in the future - staff at any of Varna's big hotels or travel agencies should be able to tell you if the service has resumed.
