South of Sozopol

South of Sozopol , the coast offers some of Bulgaria's most glorious stretches of sandy beaches . A whole string of semi-deserted beaches are punctuated by areas of coastal wetland, notably the lush woodlands around the estuary of the River Ropotamo , while the sandy soil of the coastal hills provides a tenuous base for prickly conifers. on local buses will have to time things carefully. There are six buses a day between Sozopol and Tsarevo, calling at Kavatsite, Dyuni, Ropotamo, Primorsko and Kiten; two of them continue on to Ahtopol. In high season, services fill up quickly and drivers won't stop to pick up travellers at roadside halts if the vehicle is already packed. In addition, private minibuses zoom down the stretch of coast between Burgas and Tsarevo, although they're unlikely to call in at Sozopol en route.
