Moving On From Burgas
Burgas is the transport hub for the whole coastline from Nesebar down to Ahtopol. If you miss one of the buses to Sozopol, Nesebar or Sunny Beach, private minibuses depart in-between times from the eastern side of pl. Garov. Inland-bound travellers can buy tickets for international and domestic trains from Rila/BDZh, ul. Aleksandrovska 106 (Mon-Fri 8am-6.30pm, Sat 8am-1.30pm, Sun 8am-2pm). Right next door are the offices of Burgas Bus (Mon-Fri 7am-7pm, Sat 8am-1pm), which sells tickets for express buses to Sofia , as well as for services to Prague, Bratislava and other central European locations. Numerous centrally located travel agents - try Dimant at Tsar Simeon 15 - handle reservations for buses to Istanbul . Renaissance Tours, in the foyer of the Hotel Bulgaria (Mon-Fri 8.30am-7pm, Sat 9am-12.30pm, tel & fax 056/843682, renaissbg@bginfo.net ), can arrange international air and bus tickets, and rental cars. Travellers heading for Turkey should be able to get a visa at the border-crossing; in case of any difficulty, there's a Turkish Consulate , north of the Sea Gardens at bul.
