Restaurants and cafes vie for custom along ul. Aleksandrovska and bul. Bogoridi, where you can eat seafood in one place, cakes in another, and enjoy a post-prandial drink somewhere else, all the while sitting outdoors, observing the korso . Most promenaders are dressed to the hilt, be they out for the night, window-shopping, or simply walking the dog. Nov Shanghai is a decent and very popular Chinese restaurant on the corner of bul. Bogoridi and bul. Demokratsiya, while the nearby Zodiac at bul. Bogoridi 49 serves up the usual grilled meats and salads. The beach-front also has its share of eating places, such as Ostrovat na Sukrovishtata , a traditional-style mehana near the steps leading down from the Sea Gardens, and there are several beach-hut bars to choose from. Bulgaria has a rather stylish and comfortable ground-floor bar, with plush seating and decorative fountains, the perfect setting for an iced-tea or a cocktail on a hot day.

The town's biggest disco is the Cosmopolitan , decked out to look like the interior of a spaceship, beneath the Adriana Budevska Theatre. Some of the best music can be heard at the annual International Folk Festival in the last week of August, held in the open-air theatre in the Sea Gardens.
