Eating and Drinking
There are numerous small restaurants, cafes and bars along pl. Kapitan Dyado Nikola and along ul. Angel Kanchev. The Stranopriemnitza , next to the Kolev house, and Starata Losa , opposite the Daskalov house, are worth trying for good Bulgarian food in folksy surroundings, while the well-signposted Maestorat , just off the main square at Kaleto 7, is an excellent traditional restaurant, regarded by locals as Tryavna's best. Nightlife in town is limited to occasional live music performances in a few restaurants, while the Slaveikov Days , held on May 26 and 27 in odd-numbered years, brings together a range of cultural events and festivities.
