Few tourists venture into the working-class districts to the south of the Grand-Place , either into the dishevelled Quartier Marolles , to either side of rue Blaes, or further south to the impoverished immigrant area around the Gare du Midi . There are, however, a couple of interesting attractions on the northern periphery of the Quartier Marolles: the beautiful church of Notre Dame de la Chapelle and the Fondation internationale Jacques Brel , celebrating the country's leading songster - and the district itself has several atmospheric bars and restaurants. In addition, both districts have an excellent market .
