City Transport
Most of Salzburg's tourist sights are within walking distance of each other (and the Altstadt is in any case largely pedestrianized), but the municipal bus network is a good way of getting to far-flung attractions like Hellbrunn or the Untersberg. The most important nodal points for public transport are Sudtirolerplatz , in front of the train station, Mirabellplatz , just south of the station, and F-Hanusch-Platz , on the left bank on the fringes of the Altstadt. Tickets for single journeys cost oS20/?1.46, but it makes best sense to purchase a Netzkarte for 24 hours (oS42/?3.07) or seven days (oS110/?8.03), available from automatic vending machines next to major bus stops or from Tabak shops. The Salzburg Card, sold at the city's tourist offices, is also worth considering if you're visiting lots of attractions.
